How I balance modeling, wellness and business work, and the systems that keep it all running.
People often ask how I keep everything moving at once. The honest answer is that I don’t do it by working harder. I do it by building simple systems and being clear about what matters most each week.
Give every week a shape
At the start of each week I look at everything on my plate, from shoots to client work to my own projects, and decide what has to happen and what can wait. A clear plan keeps one part of my work from quietly taking over the rest.
Systems over memory
I don’t rely on remembering things. Calendars, checklists and simple templates for the tasks I repeat mean less time deciding and more time doing. It’s the same advice I give the creatives and entrepreneurs I work with: put the routine work on rails, so your energy goes to the work only you can do.
Build on strong foundations
Clear agreements, organized finances and good records aren’t the exciting part of business, but they’re what let the exciting part last. A strong foundation means you can say yes to new opportunities without everything else falling apart.
Leave room to rest
Running more than one business only works if you keep running too. I schedule rest the same way I schedule meetings, because burnout isn’t a badge of honor.
If you’re building something of your own, start small. Pick one system this week that would make your life easier and put it in place. Then build from there.
